On February 26, Sony revealed that a major enhancement for Final Fantasy VII Remake is on the way to PlayStation 5. This game was one of the biggest hits of 2020 on the PS4. With the upcoming continuation of the game, the console can expect even greater success.
The enhanced version, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, will introduce a new story chapter along with several technical upgrades. These enhancements include a 4K graphics mode, a performance mode, faster loading times, updated fog and lighting effects, and higher resolution textures. Additionally, a new photo mode and full DualSense haptic technology support are being added. The bonus episode will feature a Yuffie storyline where she can use a special Cacstar weapon and steal powerful materials from the Shinra Building.
According to the PlayStation Store page for the DLC, existing PS5 owners who own a digital or disc version of the game on PS4 can get the update for free on their new console with a disc drive. However, those with only a Plus Monthly version will need to purchase the update separately. Unfortunately, FFVII Remake Intergrade with Yuffie will not be available on PS4.
