Many companies are looking to increase their use of AI, but Microsoft is heading in the opposite direction, especially with regards to Cortana for Windows users.
As stated in a recent post on the Support page, Cortana, named after the Halo AI character, will no longer have a dedicated app on Windows 11. It will also be removed from Teams and Teams Mobile later this year, likely in the autumn, but will still be available in Microsoft Outlook.
Although Microsoft has not explicitly stated that they are abandoning Cortana AI, the signs indicate that they are moving away from this technology.
