According to research findings, businesses are facing more cyberattacks than commonly perceived. Especially in modern organizations, particularly larger ones, cyberattacks are a daily occurrence.
This information is sourced from the Dell report, which was compiled based on input from 1,000 IT professionals. Survey respondents noted a significant rise in technological disasters experienced by companies compared to previous years. These attacks lead to costly recovery efforts, extensive data loss, and longer downtime to restore systems.
Cyberattacks account for the majority of these issues, with almost half of incidents in companies being attributed to malicious cyberattacks. This highlights the relevance of the problem within the industry.
The report indicates that around 9 out of 10 companies have faced one or more cybersecurity-related problems in the past year. Companies that suffered data loss reported downtime costs exceeding a million dollars, a higher figure than in previous years.
Another notable statistic is that approximately 85% of companies using multiple data protection vendors have not observed any improvements in security measures.
More businesses are turning to Zero Trust architecture to enhance their security. The report reveals that 91% of respondents are familiar with this architecture or at least aware of its existence. Furthermore, 12% of companies have fully implemented the Zero Trust model.
