The release date for the new Battlefield installment has been announced, only to be delayed once again. EA's official Twitter account has set the new release date for the game on November 19, 2021. While not ideal for first-person shooter fans, it could be worse.
Originally scheduled for October 22, the team was not able to complete the work by that date. The pandemic is cited as the reason for the delay, with EA acknowledging its impact on the development process. Testing is ongoing to ensure that Battlefield 2042 launches without any issues.
EA has stated that Battlefield 2042 will provide the best experience based on the three most iconic games in the series. One of the features, called Portal, has been teased but not fully revealed. Early footage of the game showcases futuristic weapons, armor, vehicles, and gadgets, making it more spectacular than previous installments.
Regarding the Open Beta, EA plans to share more details later this month. Insiders suggest that the beta version will be available on October 8, with Early Access starting on October 6. These dates are earlier than previously leaked dates, but there is still speculation that the actual release may be delayed until 2022.
