The upcoming 1.19 version of Minecraft, named The Wild, has been announced by developers. The release date is still uncertain, but it is expected to arrive in 2022. This update will introduce more wild animals, plants, and the Allay mob, which won the 2021 voting.
One of the key additions in the 1.19 update will be mangrove trees that can be planted on land or underwater. These trees will grow from propagules in swamps, forming large root blocks with vines. Players will be able to collect various wood types from these trees, something new to Minecraft. The update will also include mangrove swamp biomes.
The animal world in Minecraft will also expand with the addition of frogs in the 1.19 update. Players can grow these frogs, starting as tadpoles that can be kept in buckets. The frogs will have animated croaks, and their appearance can change based on the environment's temperature, with three possible types: swamp, snowy, or tropical. To accompany the frogs, fireflies will also be introduced in this update.
The 1.19 update will introduce the ability to create mud blocks by adding water, which can be used for building along with clay obtained by placing a mud block on dripstone to reduce moisture. Additionally, boats with chests will be added, providing players with new treasures to discover in the game. Share your thoughts on this upcoming Minecraft update in the comments.
