PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S users have been watching their Yakuza: Like A Dragon YouTube playthroughs since November, while PS5 owners are still completing the installation process. Finally, Yakuza: Like A Dragon is now available for all PS5 users!
What Can You Expect?
If you're a fan of the series and only have this rare new Sony console, you're taking a risk. Thankfully, the game has received mostly positive reviews from critics and players alike. With a median rating of 7.5 out of 10, it seems like a solid title.
The game follows a new protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, who is released from prison after 18 years. Betrayed by his boss, Kasuga is on a mission to uncover a conspiracy and seek the truth.
The gameplay allows you to switch between different characters, including the first two playable female characters. While the exploration is real-time, the combat is turn-based yet surprisingly dynamic.
You also have the option to switch between English and Japanese voice casts, providing an authentic experience as you explore Yokohama and its karaoke bars. The English version is good, but the Japanese voice acting adds a special touch.
The PS5 version offers significantly faster loading times compared to the PS4 version. It also boasts upgraded visuals, better frame rates, and a 4K 60FPS mode. Playing on the PS5 is a fantastic experience. Did you anticipate this game coming to the PS5? Are you satisfied with the result?
